Hi folks, thanks for all your advice. In answer to some of your questions - well, one wisteria is very well established, and the other - well, it is well established, but it's "newer" than the other one, if you get my drift. I doubt that either of them had budded pre "beast", and it was pretty pretty cold here in the Midlands, with three dumpings of snow between just before Xmas and the last one. Hoping we don't get a fourth load over this holiday weekend. I was getting a bit twitchy about the wisteria, because everything else (roses, hydrangeas, etc) are all growing well despite "the beast". You're right, I will keep a check on them, but try not to get too concerned for another few weeks, perhaps another month. Cheers, everyone - and thanks again. Chox.
