Having had black and white tiles down and didn't like them (very expensive) - put white tiles down (absolutely freezing). Then had leak put down vinyl (I didn't know) on top of tiles and the tile mark came through.

At the end of that saga - everything has been lifted and I am embarking on a new floor again. I want obviously non-slip and warm covering.

Anybody advise me - thanks - bathroom small.

I'd use lino but make sure it's laid properly.
Timber effect vinyl. Karndean or Amtico.

I agree , good quality lino with an under felt/ board
Question Author
right - was thinking of the lino but I do think it would be good to get underlay - would you recommend that
Question Author
anne - what is an underfelt/board - never heard of that
Question Author
PS - do want to get it right this time
I agree with Zacs. Karndean or Amtico. Both expensive but well worth it.

I was recommended the Karndean ages ago and thought at the time it was a little expensive but now I don't care

Why does the Karndean stand out. Did find that last vinyl (cheap) hard to keep clean.
We’ve had Karndean ‘Chinese slate effect’ tiles in our kitchen for 15 years and there’s not a sign of wear. It’s contract quality.
You need a specialist to lay the flooring. It's not something you could do yourself. Go to a reputable place and have a look at what they have.
Question Author
well there is a local place that sells the Karndean - so will try there tomorrow - also do I need underlay with the Karndean
Question Author
Oh I know Tilly - do need a person to lay the floor - I never did any of the flooring in the bathroom.

Just fitted quite a big bedroom with carpet 30 years ago and that's replaced with lovely laminate. Can't do anything like that now.
I mean underlay JJ, so you have a nice even surface for the lino to go on. What colour are you thinking ?
Have a look at this, JJ.

thanks all and Tilly for your wee video.

Bought Karndean - has to be ordered and then fitted which will take about 2 weeks.

Do hope I don't have any more future leaks
Lovely JJ, what colour did you get ?

The design is like the above but white sparkly tiles with the tiny inserts black sparkle.
Looks lovely JJ, £100 per tile ?

LOL Anne - the bathroom is very small so we'll say nothing on this public domain
