I've have two fairly small raised beds for about five years to which I add a few bags of B&Q compost about now. I usually grow carrots, spinach, beans etc.

Should I carry on adding compost as usual or would you recommend some sort of conditioner/fertiliser ?

Thanks.

I'd recommend sleeping on the problem.

No expert but, if the beds are full I'm unsure what benefit adding more bulk gives. You'd eventuality have to remove what's there to make room. I'd suspect that most of the time adding nutrients would suffice.
dried seaweed is good just fork it in ...as OG said you'll only end up having to remove a load...

Thanks to you both for your good advice.

Dig in some chicken poo pellets if you want to be organic or scatter Growmore on the beds if you're happy with non-organic.

When should I add the fertilizer for Spring sowings ?
I would do it early spring..chicken/turkey poo pellets are good ..but the smell of seawood is much nicer though !!
