Dachshund Ramp With Zero Building Skills?

Hello all!

We have a lovely miniature Dachshund who shares our bed (please don't judge us!).

We have a fabulous low bed from Ikea, but unfortunately she still needs a boost to get up.

She has her own stool - yes really, but has also been using some items that I have now binned. This means each night she cries after getting out of bed as she doesn't have the confidence to jump up anymore.

I want to create her a ramp of some kind to protect her back and to avoid disturbed sleep. However, I am pregnant, have no garden and no tools to create one out of wood!

Any ideas on how to create a cheap ramp tomorrow afternoon without having to buy a saw, etc?

Bizarre request, and really I asked for the disturbed sleep, but I would really appreciate help asap.

I don't want to order one as that involves waiting.

Thanks in advance!

any way something like this would do?

"Get it by Friday"
I know you said you don't want to wait, but how's about something like this, it's very similar to the one we have for our Yorkies:

A bargain at £12.98 :)

Thank you for your great answers!

I think the bunny ramp is too short and thin.

The steps would be great if the advice was to keep Dachshunds off of stairs.

Bloomin' dog . . . !
i dont have an answer but i just wanted to say it's very heartwarming that there are people in the world who think like this :)
Its expensive but is this any good?

Just pick her up and put her on the bed.
Use those useless cushions adorning your sofa
If your over-riding desire is some sleep why not just keep the dog out of the bedroom?
How high is the bed?

How long are her legs/how high can she climb?
Could you use books and make stairs?
Could you make one out of books/catalogues as a temporary one?

There is bound to be websites devoted to Dachshunds - go and see what they suggest.

My girl cat tells me that my desk is too high for her to jump onto so I bought a little folding stool. Now instead of sitting on the floor screaming to get up on the desk she sits on the stool screaming her head off. Then, when my back is turned, she leaps effortlessly onto the desk.

Good Luck
I reckon I would bite the bullet ..buy a saw and saw the legs off the bed :-)
