Hi good AB'ers just repaired a large fence ( solid wood type ) ? whats the best treatment / paint ? - fit and forget ? for a few years, .. ideas ... Wickes Crecote ? Polyuthene Varnish mixed with Teak Oil ? Crecote mixed with filtered old engine oil ? etc thanks in advance good AB'ers GL

Creosote is good and cheap, but don't get it on you flowers
if it's pressure treated wood, which it possibly isn't, you shouldn't need to paint it if you don't want to.
I think you'l find that creosote was banned some years ago, due to it being carcinogenic.
Ronseal one coat fencelife is what I use. Shop around for a good deal.
Fit and forget! We've got a standard larch-lap 6ft fence that has been up for 40 years and never been treated!
if it is treated wood no need to paint..if it is for aesthetic reason..Ronseal is what I use
