The toilet seat in our 'new' house needs to be changed but the toilet bowl is the newer type where the toilet bowl is part of a solid block where the bolts holding the seat on are not visible underneath (hard to explain what I mean here). On older toilets you could access the bolt underneath at the back but on this one the bolt is within the block. Does that mean I will have to unbolt the toilet bowl from the wall to get access to the seat bolts?

I live in Bolton so he would have a ball with me cock.
My team beat yours tonight, mick:-)
Alright, alright, alright! Wots yer orl flapperin' on about then?
Anyone can beat Bolton at the moment, how come they scored 2 goals away from home, was it an offside and a disputed penalty lol
How can a toilet problem turn into a discussion about a bunch of guys farting around on a field?....Oh!...I see.
Very useful clip Tony, thanks! Hubby was trying to fix ours before Christmas. Is this the same method if the toilet pan "hangs" directly from a vanity unit containing a hidden cistern?
Hi stuey he who gives the last lav pun gets to sit on the Throne;)
Could be Ann, if its fairly modern.
I hate to do this, magicmick: this throne thing; does it involve a royal flush...OK, I'm outta here.
Have saved the YouTube clip and will show him. :) Its about 7 years old.
Tony is now AB's s..t house consultant :-)

Very interesting. But what a horrible design ! One gets sold special plastic joined thread connectors to screw the bolts into, and have to tolerate any old one dropping inside where one can not remove them. All in order to stop folk getting to the nuts normally required to fit the seat. Makes the bowl look more lump-like too. If they want to hide the nuts why not a plastic cover for them alone ? More evidence that the world is going mad.
Do you feel Flushed Tony lol
Without a photo...we have nothing to go on!
