Shower *** has broken and cannot find replacement.
If I take *** off there is a round plastic bit. Looking at what I could drill/insert into this to turn off and on. Cannot replace shower at present.

what is the make and model?

The k.n.o.b is a supajet k.n.o.b may have number 101 with it cannot remember. I normally got replacement from the shower doctor in Edinburgh but now discontinued.

You may be able to insert a different k.n.ob on it that has a grub screw to tighten it in place. Similar to one you used to get on the old gas cookers and hot-plates.
Failing that, you could clamp some mole-grips onto it. Would look a bit unsightly though.

Not worried about the aesthetics just need something practical.

A pair of old pliers could do the trick also.

The part I am after is a supajet 032.02

The bit that turns then has a gap of a couple of mm then has a plastic bit that goes round which rules out pliers.

Is it the flow or temperature control. I assume it is the flow that has broken as others have said a pair of pliers or mole grips will suffice

I'd probably have a go at forming (with the use of a hammer) a temporary kn.ob out of a bit of copper pipe. The shaft must have an indentation on it, can you not build your own kn.ob? I'm probably being a little too complicated, I am a fabricator though so....

TonyV: If it's like my MIRA shower that isn't going to be possible. The outside casing is not level with the shaft; the shaft itself is a few mm back from the case. There isn't room to get a pair of pliers in.

Ok so the spigot goes through housing maybe remove cover after isolating and retrieve other part of control and araldite the 2 pieces together
