I don't mean to worry you, but I think the Triffids are having another go.

This time they look like buddleia plants.

I don't mean to worry you

Reassuring words indeed, akin to 'I don't want cause any panic or alarm'

Well I wouldn't walk that close to them.
Me either, now I've being warned... scary knowing that those plants are upto something ;-)
Lol

We went up to London by Train a week or so back, and made a similar comment, they're everywhere!
Baldric - those were Londoners

Were they moving? ;-)
We have 4 very large buddleia plants taking over our yard as I type. I love the fact they attract lots of butterflies and bees, but by god they are ugly/messy when they get this big!
They are invasive as Japanese Knotweed and our native Butterflies will survive without what is a foreign plant in our land.

Ban Buddleia in Britain.

Hans.

Wolf63, Oops, my mistake!
Hopkirk, we have one growing by our side gate...has to be regularly cut back otherwise we can't get through the gate. Obviously not the ideal place for it!

If you know 'The Day Of The Triffids' you will know they go for the eyes.
I don't remember, it's many years since I saw the film.
Scared me as a kid.
Triffids are here under other disguises as well Hopkirk....bally Japanese Hogweed, and Himalayan Balsam ! The latter seems to be taking over mid-Wales at any rate.
