We have a limestone hearth in front of a log burner. The hearth is looking very grubby and I wondered if anyone could tell me how to clean it please? Many thanks in advance.

You will struggle to clean it in situ...however if you could lift it and take it to a masons yard they will skim a few mm off.Limestone should always be properly sealed after install and periodically resealed as it stains easily...thats why most limestone fireplaces have granite hearths.
