Has anyone got any idea how one can get rid of this plant.

Last year I dug out what I could and the flowerbed looked lovely. Now it looks like I never touched it. I now have it growing in the lawn as well but lawn weed killer had no effect. HELP please

Eccles, North Coast of Ireland
I cook with wild garlic all through the season!

It won't hurt you at all......as long as you are confident it IS wild garlic!
Sorry, that was for you, Sue
Lucky I looked at that picture as that's not what I thought wild garlic looked like. I've got these long thin green stems/leaves like spring onions that reek of garlic, growing in the garden, does anyone know what they are?
Courtesy of the previous posts ..... Google Allium triquetrum that may be your beastie Rocky.....
Rocky:
The problem with the name 'wild garlic' is that it's used for different varieties of the Allium family. The picture in my link shows Allium ursinum but other varieties, such as Allium vineale (which you appear to have described), are also referred to as wild garlic.
I cook with Allium ursrinam if it helps.

EcclesCake Sorry bit far to drop off some for you.

THANK YOU ALL for your answers.
Thanks Eccles, looks similar but the leaves on mine are ramrod straight, a bit like chives but thicker (was meaning chives when I said spring onion).
Oops, thanks Chris.
This one Rocky? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allium_triquetrum that I mentioned earlier..... :-)
No, the leaves are too floppy on the one in the picture. I'll take a photo tomorrow as it's just started to grow in the rockery again and I'll post on this thread.
I'll keep an eye out. I'm working away tomorrow though so won't pick up until later in the day.
Looks good Chris.....
