In the winter months, what do you do with your parasol bases? I have a cast iron one and I just leave it outside all year round. This obviously causes it to be a bit grubby - surface rust and dirt etc. Just wondered if any of you store them away?

Cast iron is durable enough and should scrub up well. How about using it to support a bird feeder during the winter months ? Maybe a coat of Hammorite every year or two should keep it looking good.

I leave mine out all winter and just give it a good clean and scrub up in the spring. Seems ok.
