Ballpoint Pen Off A White Handbag

Does anyone know how to get blue ballpoint ink off a white faux leather handbag please?

I have heard a thrifty way of doing it is to spray a clean cloth with hair spray then rub mark with it,should do the trick then wash with warm water to remove residue and stickiness.

Nail polish remover. Try it on an unnoticeable area first.
