What is the best mixture to fill the gaps that have appeared between my patio slabs? Have used just sharp sand in the past but that just gets washed away.

Mine seems to fill itself with dirt & moss all by itself.
I suspect it may be best to just keep topping it up. You could seal it all but then the water has nowhere to drain.

Just done my patio slabs. Got a 25kg bad of premixed mortar and sat quietly and redid the whole lot, looks great,ready for summer,wine,beers and barbies.
