Many thanks for your help and advice. Today I had the Beko hob fitted by a local retailer - it took less than an hour and looks great. My copper bottomed pans aren't suitable but that's no big deal - just a great excuse to have a new set ! I know I'm going to be more than happy with my new look kitchen.
