Hi all
We have a Bosch built in d/washer that has started to act up. It has 3 wash settings - 35, 55 or 65 degrees. We usually use 35 for a small load and 55 for a large load. When we use 35 degrees, the load comes out as though it hasn't been rinsed, necessitating a wash on 55 to get it clean. We have tried different D/W tablets, checking that the rinse aid control is set correctly and the water softener is also set correctly. We have also made sure it is filled with salt. All seems ok on a 55 wash, hinting that the 35 degree setting isn't working correctly. Has anyone had any similar trouble ?? Don't really want to call out a repair man until I am certain there is something wrong.
Many thanks.

The size of the load isn't really relevant - what matters is how dirty the dishes are and how dried on the dirt is. And to a lesser extent how 'delicate' the china is.

It sounds as though your dishes are too dirty for 35 degrees to work properly
Yes, 35° may be too low unless it's effectively a light rinse you need- eg for tea cups. I find that 55° is okay for most bowls/plates but 70° is better for dirtier items.

Thanks for the replies. We have used 35 ever since we've had the machine (6+ years) and until recently all dishes, glasses etc have come out perfectly clean, that's why I posted the question.
Thanks again.

There is a Bosch repair notice out at the moment for a batch of dishwashers made 5 or 6 years ago. It's probably nothing to do with the fault you mention, but it might be worth checking:
