I have a light brown leather suite which after a few years of wear is badly in need of a clean
Can anyone recommend a simple solution without doing any damage to the suite?

Go to a good hardware store and get a good quality leather cleaner/restorer. Failing that just go to your nearest equine store and get saddle soap, works a treat.
