We are thinking of a move to the country and wondered if any ABers live in Wells and could advise what it is like?

Now stop that it's silly.

I hasten to add we have visited all these towns but a day trip is not the same as living there (with an occasional commute to London)
The country side round owdham is outstanding, probably the only place not covered
i have visited often and would say it is small and perfectly formed x
Surely there are some criteria which will narrow things down eg distance to relatives

We have no relatives in the UK, we have no children, I am retiring at 50, DH needs to commute to London one day a week and have access to LHR/LGW. We are open and flexible. We need a town with good pubs/restaurants. Our needs are simple.
Come and live in Yorkshire. 2 hrs to London on the train and the best countryside and restaurants in the country.
I live about 20 miles from Wells, I must admit I haven't been there recently but I would describe it as a typical county market town (I know it's a city) with the bonus of having a cathedral.
Do you mean wells next the sea? Its probably our nearest coastline. Its ok there, a place for people who are thinking of retiring.
