Does anyone know if those UV toothbrush sanitisers actually work or are they a bit of a gimmick? I know UV lights are meant to kill germs. I do replace the family toothbrushes regularly but I quite like the thought of giving them a germ killing boost every day!

Probably work but at a price, maybe you should try soaking them in mouthwash or put them in the dishwasher (on a 60 degree cycle)

I like the sound of the dishwasher (as long as it doesn't have bits of spaghetti caught up in the brush! lol!).
Sterilising tablets available on the baby section.

Very versatile. I use them in the washing machine too so that I don't have to boil wash towels and bed linen. They are excellent stain removers.
Just give them a swill in boiling water, I could well imagine those gadgets are effective but in reality do you really need one?
Surely another instance of raising insecurities to make you buy something.
A few drops of hydrogen peroxide in some warm water, soak for a while - brushes sterilised!
