why does it make noises when the heating is not on and no hot water is being demanded from it?

Is it something I have done wrong when personalising the settings?

This is normal on new boilers as it's keeping a bit of water warm: when you turn a hot tap on somewhere in the house this water goes directly to it and so quicker than the older boilers.

What sort of noise is it making ? If it sounds as though the heating pump is operating, then I wouldn't worry as mine does this and apparently it's normal.
Ours doesn't ..?
It comes on just for a minute or two - I asked the engineer when he came to do the annual service and he claimed it was usual. I suppose all boilers are different - this one is a Worcester.
