My house plant has tiny white creatures slowly moving around in the earth, how can I get rid of these without having to resort to chemical sprays?

WHITE FLY! there are many eco-friendly ways to get rid of them once you know what they are. Re-pot your plant as the fl's start as grubs in the soil, wash the leaves in luke water, is suitable, very common in greenhouse and conservatory situations. There was talk of a kind of Wasp I think which eats the flys, rather like ladybirds to aphids. Hope this helps Nelli
Phostrogen make a "plant pin" This is a cardboard strip, impregnated with systemic Insecticide & works on a "time release" basis. Insert a couple of these into the compost & the whitefly will soon disappear. These pins are readily available from all garden centres etc. and really work well.
