I have trailing pansies in 3 hanging baskets that have flowered profusely all summer, trailing 2 feet long and more just as advertised. They are supposedly hardy perennials any ideas as to how I should over winter them? I've contacted the suppliers but will have to wait days for a reply to my query!

I have a cold greenhouse in which I can over winter them, should I crop them back before I transfer them and leave them in the baskets, or should I replant them into large pots for the winter?

Any advice will be appreciated.

I would cut them right back, cut off the trails, and leave them in the baskets for overwintering. If they survive you can repot them in the spring.
