Silly question maybe but do I need planning permission to re-site a back door?

Depends whose house you're going to re-site it to ?
If it's your own you're probably ok
If your house is a Listed building, yes.
............. otherwise ............ no :o)

Many thanks for your answers - didn't think you would but just wanted to check!
But you'll probably need a Building Warrant - you would round my way.
No, you do not need planning permission, but you do need to get permisson from me! If I do not like it then you can not do it!

Hope this helps.
If you are in a house rather than a flat or maisonette, and you are not listed or in a conservation area (where some of the rights may have been removed) then you do not need planning permission to re-site a back door provided it still opens into your own land. Need to check with someone if it needs Building Regs though as I'm not sure.
