A mate with a van is the cheapest.
After that .. a hire van.
A Dinky is probably your best bet, though a Corgi might be competitive if you can find one.
Hire will be cheaper as you will have to pay the removal man (men or maybe women) for their time too
Yes hiring a van is always cheaper than using a removal firm, but if you need a driver and some help with the move, then go for a local small firm rather than a larger well known company.
go onto gumtree.com or vivastreet.com we have allways got the very cheapest removals and white van men on those sites.
Yes, it is best to hire your own van, and get some mates to help you out. Shop around, as the costs vary greatly between companies, and some actually hire out vans by the hour, but clearly it would take longer than this to move home. We hired a Luton van for the day, and this only cost us £50, which is much cheaper than the competition.

Hope this helps. JB12
Look in your local paper in the Classified for Man with a Van and get a few prices.
