Horrible fishy smell on front porch - could it be due to rusting furniture?

Help! I can't seem to figure out why there is this new fishy smell near the front door. We have a very small front porch, all stone. Only thing on the porch is a pair of lawn chairs whose legs have started to rust badly, rust flakes everywhere. Could this be the cause? It's really nasty, and now with the summer coming, the smell is heating up. Thanks for any clues.

Sorry I do not know how to do the links.
This can happen if an electrical fixture such as a light fitting is faulty...is there a porch light that could be checked out?
I bet it's the porch light wiring. I had this in a porch some time ago and we changed the fitting.
Electric elements overheating [possibly affecting the plastic casing] can cause an
awful fishy smell.
Are there any rowan trees nearby? We have some in our garden, and the blossoms give off a less-than-nice smell.
