Sand down to a fine hand finish, clean away dust and then use a wax polish such as Osmo Polyx Oil for a good hard wearing finish.

I have just sanded my pine floor boards and used OSMO oils, they are brilliant!

I have some left if you want to buy it cheap (un-opened)

Further to the above answers, after mild sanding to remove any marks, apply wax vigorously with the aid of steel wool, then buff and re-polish as necessary.

However, marks on such a table would be a sign of its history and needn't be treated as blemishes, more of a memory.

Hi kittyboo3

would like some of the Osmo oil but where do you live?

THanks
