Should I lift my tulips in my tubs now that they have flowered and died down a bit, as I want to use the tubs for summer bedding - and if so will they flower next year?

Chris
I think once the leaves have died down a bit it's fine to lift and save the healthy ones. Rules are great to follow but I leave some of mine in beds permanently and they flowere every year.
Yup, I plant over the top of the bulbs once they have died down.
We usually allow a minimum of 6-8 weeks after flowering before either digging up or mowing off bulbs. I'd also say that if the tops have died down, you can dig them up.
