Has anyone used any of these, and do they they work? We want to use the garden for meal times but the amount of wasps that come and annoy us is brain twisting. I've seen these fake wasp nests advertised that are supposed to discourage wasps from the garden but I'm a bit sceptical.

Thanks for any replies.

I've never seen them, the nests would go in dark quiet places like the roof space - I can't see why that would stop wasps buzzing about in the garden. It's early for wasps yet - but you can't beat the good old jam jar with water, they fall in.
According to some reports, they can be effective to start with, but eventually the wasps become used to them and return.

Thanks for the replies. Boxtops, the jam jar method never seems to work for us. Heathfield, this is what I thought may be the case. Oh well never mind.
I find that shooting the bleeders with an air rifle can be great fun and also very effective - at getting people to move indoors. (or to A&E)

Lol. The dog is having great fun trying to catch them at the moment, I'm surprised he hasn't been stung yet.
My cat got stung on the lip a few years back - hope the dog doesn't do likewise ;-(

Boxtops, he got stung last night, he nearly jumped out of his skin. The stupid idiot carried on doing it.
