can u have one person on a mortage cus me an my fiance are tryin to find a place but he has a default on his credit because of a phone bill we have tried lookin at a credit report but it wont come on comuter an they say there no other way of gettin it as they wont send it out to us can someone please help

Yes you can have one person on a mortgage but you must earn enough on your own to qualify for the mortgage. If your fiance isn't going on the mortgage then his income won;t be taken into account.

You can get a copy of your credit file sent to you, you have to write to all the three main credit reference agencies (Experian, Equifax and Callcredit) and pay them �2 each.
If you have only one of you on the mortgage,only one of you will be on the Registered Title - only one of you will own it.

You would need to set up a way of protecting his beneficial interest if he is going to contribute to the mortgage and treat the property as his own.
