Can someone please explain to me, the difference between being in a house sale chain and a loop. How long would the sale roughly take in either situation? Thanks in advance

A loop is like a chain, only the person at the bottom is selling the house at the top as well!

It often happens if people are downsizing.

Most sales (chains or loops) take 6-8 weeks to get to exchange and completion.

Hope this helps
