Myself and my partner have recently moved into our dream home, we are surrounded by fields. The field that our garden backs on to is, we have found out, Crown Land and we cannot purchase that land. However, the local farmer apparently rents it but never does anything with it. How does the law work when it comes to renting the land or even sub-letting it from the farmer?

Basically, my horse is liveried and the land would be fantastic to have him there right on my back garden.

Any advice would be gratefully received and thak you in advance.

Kat and Rich.
