Anyone got any tips on removing baked on grease from the outside if frying pans/chip pans?

caustic soda made into a paste. but be warned it can also take off the outer coating / tefelon if left on for too long

I saw Kim & Aggie use meat tenderising powder once, and it seemed to do the trick (with a little bit of elbow grease)
I soak my pans in soda crystals, it softens the grease and easier to clean.
