Can anyone identify it for me please ?
Someone did say it was for toasting teacakes eg over a toaster but I cant see that being a use since its not big enough, it looks more like a bathroom accessory eg say a sponge etc.

Bookbinder, its the same item just 2 photos from different angles, dimensions are 29cm (end to end) 10.5 (width) and 5cm high.

Just had a thought, if I turn it upside down it could sit on top of a toaster (or maybe its a toast rack) and you put the tea cakes on it, the piece of metal at either end has like a rubber foot on each end.

As I said, it's an (upside down) toast rack.

You place it on the kitchen table and put slices of toasted bread in the slots.
