Insinkerator

I have a waste disposal by insinkerator which says do not put down sweet corn husks. Unfortunately we did put down sweet corn husks and it doesnt grind anymore (I think the fibres are tangled round the parts)
What solutions are there?

Probably needs taking apart and all the tangled fibres removed?

I once put some old flowers in mine and the fibres in the stems tangled around the parts. I think you might be able to use the long metal tool that came with the Insinkerator to unstick the jammed part and then put your hand or tongs in to pull the bits of husk out.
I was a bit scared to put my hand in, but someone else did it for me with no problems. Make sure no one can switch it on while you're doing it (obviously! but accidents do happen).
