I have a very small, mostly all white bathroom. I want to replace the ancient pink carpet I inherited with the house. Ideally I would like something simple, white & easy to clean but also something that won't need replacing in a couple of years. Some laminates looks thin. Would ceramic tiles be a good choice? I'd be grateful for suggestions and good suppliers please.

What about good old fashioned lino?

Comes in different thicknesses depending on the quality and your budget.
Tiles are cold and when wet can be slippy though you can get special ones that have an uneven surface but they're harder to keep clean. I'd go with 2sp and suggest lino as it's easy to clean and warmer.

I would go with lino. It's much improved over the years.
Granite flooring may indeed be 'awesome' - but I hope the joists are up to it, or your bathroom could end up in the kitchen below :)
Lots of reasons to reject ceramic tiles in a bathroom....as above.
What about Karndean. http://www.karndean.co.uk/

I had it in my last bathroom and loved it.
Our bathroom is all white too but I didn't want a white floor
(reminded me of the hospital) because we're getting older I didn't want a slippery floor either so we plumped for carpet tiles. (navy blue) you can swop them around when you want to & they always look good. Run the hoover over them once a week. It adds a bit of warmth and luxury.Navy blue and baby blue towels add a touch of glamour.

Very many thanks for all your replies. I'm looking at Karndean because, although not the cheapest, they have just the colour I'm looking for. Can't imagine why I ever thought a ceramic tiled floor would be a good idea
I have black granite flooring in my bathroom...............slippery as hell.
I agree with Ummmmmers. Bathroom/kitchen vinyls are very different from the old days. (Just don't call it "lino"... they get very upset) ;o)

These things go in cycles. We've had terra cotta/ceramic tile/hardwood flooring/laminates ........ Vinyl has come around again.
