I have some begonias in a hanging basket which I was going to throw out, but my Mum says they will keep for next year. Is she right and how should I store them over the winter?
Thanks

Can you transfer them to a flowerbed? I leave mine in all year and they keep coming back after dying back in the winter.
Keep them in a cool, dry place till end of feb then replant them providing there are no late frosts in which case keep them a bit longer. They should flower well next year

I keep mine in a brown paper bag when dried out in the shed, sprinkle yellow sulphur in the bag and give them a good shake and come spring separate any old growth from the corm and plant in fresh compost only just below the soil and don`t let the centre of the corm fill with water, then put in a warm light place.
