WHEN TO PLANT ALSTROEMERIA

I have some seeds given to me (by my late Aunt) I would love to grow them can any one advise me when to plant? Do I put them in a small pot to start them off? many thanks

I've just Googled Alstroemeria and there are a number of answers there, might be worth your having a look. Seems you have to put hot water over the seeds to start them off, but I wouldn't want to advise you! I have grown them but from plants not seeds.

I just put them in the ground last Autumn and they have all come through.
Sorry I have just realised you said seeds whereas I had tubers. So there may be a difference. I didn't know you can buy seeds.
