A stupid question I know, but I know nothing about gardening. I'm planting spring bulbs in tubs at the moment, daisies, tulips, pansies, anemones. Will they only come up next spring or will they come up in subsequent years?

Yes, bulbs should come up again the following year, but pansies and daisies will only last the one season.
yes they will come up again and each year you will get more. :)
You may want to lift them after they have finished flowering to use the tub for summer flowers. Just store them somewhere dry and then pop them back in the tub about now. i.e. Sept/October.
the bulbs will come up every year. the best thing you could do is after they have flowered. let the leaves die down then lift them and store in a shed, you can then use your tubs for summer anuals.then replant the bulbs, in the autumn when your summer flowers have had their day,,just scattering some annual flower seeds in tubs will give you a cheap display of flowers. dont be afraid to try new things, you may surprise yourself.
