My extraordinarily successful begonias - trailing and otherwise- have stopped growing/flowering. I have been told that they can be saved, stored, and replanted next year. Can anyone advise how to go about the task? I have also 5foot+ climbing roses to prune (this years plantings). How far should they be cut back? you will be aware that I no nothing! Thanks for any help.
Take your begonias out of the soil they're in and break off all top growth down to the tubers and remove all soil from the roots and tubers. Place them in a dark, dry, cool, frost-free place until spring. I always put each colour in seperate little baskets. In early spring plant them in window boxes in a frost-free place to start them off.
Can't help you with the roses, they're not my forte!!!
