pruning rosemary?

is it the wrong time of year the prune my rosemary its looking rather straggly and do I just snip the ends?

Mines out in full flower at the moment, so I plan to give it a light prune with the shears once it's finnished flowering.
It shoud then start to bush up providing it is'nt too shady.
