Is April 1st early pasta? Must it be Heinz beans . ?
Puerile & potentially dangerous - beans on doorsteps? If they've money to spare for pathetic practical "jokes", how nice it would be if just one of the idiots thought of donating to a food bank & starting a useful trend for once.

Anne...I suspect it's actually a subtle promotion for Heinz.

LiK...their tiny brains don't work that way...unfortunately.
Pasta I was thinking that too -what Teenager in their right mind would pay 80p for tins of Heinz Beans when they can get them for 10p in Lidl?
Fair point, APG, but.....

"What teenager in their right mind?" The fact that they are dumping the beans on people's doorsteps or smearing them over things indicates that they are not necessarily in their right mind!!!
Could be quite dangerous, especially on doorsteps - and what a crying waste!
BM. They are allegedly teenagers, Teenagers/ right minds. That would be a no no :-)
Make it illegal to sell a can-opener to anyone who appears to be under the age of 25:)
They're ring pull cans.
Really? I've never seen those rings on cans of beans, other products, yes, but not beans.
I reckon it's an Ad for Heinz ;-) Tango got in a lot of trouble years ago for doing something similar 'have you been tango-ed' springs to mind but can't remember the details.
The 1st container in the link below isn't a Heinz one & I seriously doubt any reputable company - let alone one as big as Heinz - would be promoting vandalism that has the potential to cause serious injury.

Watching that makes me see red...and it ain't the beans. I wonder if their choices are random, or folks in the neighbourhood they've got it in for.
I had evil neighbours who took my potted plants and put them on the step in my doorway.
Kids have been egging things for years -totally unacceptable but I can just assume these goods are shop-lifted in the first place. Soft Policing and no parental discipline is to blame.
Maybe they're just trying to keep their finger on the pulse.
Gross!
I Dont blame the parents for this one. I blame Rowan Atkinson. it's all his fault.
L-I-K it could have been Heinz as they sell them in containers, but they are £2.40!

I don't blame the parents either. You can't keep teenagers under lock and key. Most of us played pranks but not like this, as we were brought up not to waste food. :-)
Of course its the parents. Children who are brought up correctly just don't do this sort of thing.
