Nipon down to your local hardware store and get a small tube of liquid bait, or hor heavier infestations use a powder.
If you choose to lat patio/path slabs, on a bed of sand, then ants are inevitable.
Errr.... lay.
'Ant Stop' bait blocks work really well.

Anyone who can come up with a foolproof method of getting rid of Ants from a lawn will make millions!
I agree, use Nippon ant killer liquid.

Put a drop onto a small piece of aluminium foil and push it under your fridge or kitchen unit, where the pets can't reach it. Repeat several times around the room.

The ants will find it, and stand in a circle round it taking it up. They will take it back to the nest and your problem will be solved.

You may need to retreat a few times, but it is effective.

It's no good in the freezer Shoota, you have to take it out and bash the little buggers with it.
