My rosemary is looking a bit the worse for wear,can I cut it back like I do with the mint? Thank you for any info

Yes, you can. Cut out dead wood and long shoots early Spring or overgrown bushes by half mid Spring.

They're not a lover of being cut back to old wood. it's recommended that you replace Rosemary every 5-7 years as it gets too straggly
who recommends it? I bet the rosemary doesn't!
Mine just curled up and died last Summer. Think you are spot on hammerman.
mine is 20 years old.
