My runner beans this year have an awful lot of leaves and not many beans. Would cutting some of the leaves off to make searching for beans easier be a good or bad idea?

I've had a poor bean crop this year also, I blame the weather!
To my mind the plants need the leaves for photosynthesis to take place for it to function properly.
Personally I'd leave the leaves on.
Definitely leave leaves on.
As above, definately leave the leaves on. Beans are late cropping this year, mine are at least 6 weeks behind.
I love the dwarf variety. Unfortunately most have to be imported from Kenya or Egypt. Such is life.
Don't take the leaves off, your runner beans will catch up eventually. The weather this year has a lot to answer for!
