I have the opportunity to get hold of one of these but I am not sure how best to use it. I have thought of a small 'pond' but I do not want the hassle of running cable for the electrical side of things. I am not bothered about the digging and humping the thing around. It would be situated in a sheltered corner of the garden which gets sun from breakfast time to early afternoon. All suggestions (well most!) received with thanks.

My grandpa had one with water lilies in it. It didn't need a pump and cheered up a sheltered bit of his garden.
turn it into a herb planter, we sold fake ones at the garden centre where I work.

Dave.
use it as a planter for invasive herbs like mint - as long as you plug up the waste hole, the roots won't be able to get out into your garden.

Afternoon folks, apologies for the late response. Been busy with various things - and visitors! Seems that the miniature rockery/herb garden is the thing to do. Thanks a lot.
