As I have just been fitted with a water meter I am going to introduce one or even two water butts in my garden. When I went to the D I Y store I found that the fittings to connect the butt to the fall pipe have the piece that is put around the fall pipe only in the circular. Unfortunately my fall pipes are of square variety. my obvious question is, "can I get the fittings I need, or if not an alteritive solution" Sorry for being long winded, but, I dont get out very much.

And you can probably find what you want a lot cheaper on ebay...
I have square pipes.
The connector is circular.

So at least some designs must be multi purpose

It doesn't go around the fall pipe - you cut a section of that out, so it goes between the two bits of fall pipe.
