killing grass /wheat/oats/corn etc

Have spent years trying to keep lawn weed free .But now I have the reverse problem .Local farmers sowed seed probably on a windy day. The result is corn/wheat/ oats/ etc growing in the border etc.main problem is where I have gravel in borders.Pulling the corn etc out pulls gravel out & also pulls out pieces of membrane under gravel.Borders look a site at the moment & any help would be appreciated

wait until the ears form cut them off at ground level dry the ears for winter flower arrangements... paint the remaining growth with roundup using an old paint brush so it just goes on the thing you want to kill
