Have small bore system and water doesn't seen to get around very well There is something called Nova Setter on the delivery of the pump set at "D" I asume its to take the residual heat out of the boiler when both heating & hot water shut down ,But when both H/HW are calling there seems to be quite alot of hot water going back to the boiler Theres an adjustment scale on the nova A B D F D B A cant see plus or -minus Wonder if someone could tell me if i'm on the right track and which is the right way to setup this bypass

Type Your Answer Here... look at this tomorrow for you. However, it sounds like you need to reduce the flow through rads and the whole circuit by slowing flow at rads by 'balancing' and by way of the circulator speed. Finally, put enough on the bypass to pass heat to return when most rads are controlling off.

I have a small bore central heating ,and you do need to balance the system lots of people have all the valves wide open,which will slow the flow around the house,best to work out which rads are fed first and shut them down a bit also any small rooms do the same ,it may be that you have some sludge in the system,maybe when it gets warmer you could drain the whole system and refill,with regard the Nova Setter I do not have one but would suggest putting it on B and try that if this fails to cure problem then try F.
