The front of my house has hanging tiles which I would like to paint grey, which type of paint do you suggest? I thought perhaps masonry?

Definitely, Craps.

Assuming they are concrete or clay plain tiles (which can be absorbent), then, very dilute first "mist", followed by two full coats.
I've never yet seen a house with painted tiles which looks nice. Tiles shift slightly and you can always see unpainted bits.

Good point from bhg.
In a perfect world, I can't say I'm in favour of painting them. I would change the tiles, but maybe that's easier for me to say :o)
