Unscrew Nut On Weber Q1200 Bbq Gas Connection

Any ideas how I can get the nut from the present small gas canister connection off so that I can put on a new adapter to take a patio size gas. I can't get it to budge.

Is it a left-hand thread?if it is you might actually be tightening it up.

Connectors on most flammable gasses are left hand thread. Certainly Calor propane and butane, acetylene are LHTs.

...also .... LH gas nuts usually have a cut mark around the middle of the nut.
