Just noticed that when I switch on my bedroom light the lights in the kitchen and dining room don't work. When the bedroom is off they work again.
There are 3 live wires to the bedroom switch and 2 each to the other two.

Any suggestions please.

?!? You need to get the wiring checked out.

The switch can have 2 or 3 woed depending on how things are wired, but turning on one ought not pinch the electric from others :-) It sound like some fool has switched electricity from one route to another when you use the bedromm lightswitch.
It gets worse. Where the heck does "woed" come from ?!?!?!?!?

Not that it matters but, "The switch can have 2 or 3 wires ...."
If your house is relatively new, or recently rewired, the only wires you would expect to see in the switch would be the "switch wire" coming from and going back to the light fitting. The live feed wire normally goes from light fitting to light fitting, one for each storey of your house.

As OG says, you need the wiring checking out.
Has this happened only recently, Eeza?
Also, is there another switch to the bedroom light? (2-way switching)

Sounds dumb, but I've only just noticed it!!. all 3 swithches are 1 gang.
Thx
It's important to know if this has only just happened, or has something been altered?

I've not noticed it before so it might have just happened. I recently put in new light fittings on bedroom and living room.
I would say that's the cause of your problem. You've mixed up some cables somewhere.
